Welcome to Wander Wardrobe

Hi!

I'm Alex - the founder of Wander Wardrobe.

If you've found yourself drawn to bold prints, joyful colours and fashion that makes you feel something - then you're in the right place.

I've always been captivated by vibrant brands like Farm Rio and Celia B, there is something magical about an outfit that instantly uplifts your mood and lets you express yourself, unapologetically. I believe every woman deserves to feel that kind of joy when she gets dressed - whether it's for a party, a holiday, or just a regular Tuesday!

But as much as I loved investing in these bold, beautiful pieces, I often found they only got one or two outings. They were so unique and memorable that I found it wasteful letting them sit in my wardrobe. That is what sparked the idea for Wander Wardrobe - a curated designer rental platform where women can access standout fashion without the commitment (or cost) of buying it all. Think of it as your rotating dream closet - always full of colour, always full of wander!

A bit more about me? I'm a mum to two beautiful girls and we live in the seaside town, Melkbosstrand, just outside of Cape Town. It is a quiet, salty, sun-drenched place to call home - a big contract to my previous life in Hong Kong, where we lived before returning to South Africa.

I lost my husband in 2023, which marked a turning point in my life - a moment (or quite a few!) of deep reflection, change, and ultimately, the desire to create a meaningful life.

Starting Wander Wardrobe has been a way to reconnect with creativity, colour and community - to build something beautiful out of a season of deep loss. It's about fashion, yes - but also about freedom, sustainability and self-expression.

Whether you're borrowing a dress for a wedding, a birthday, or just because - I hope that it brings you joy,

Thank you for being part of this journey!

With love,

Alex
